How do I edit the mappings for an uploaded file?

Last updated on Mar 17, 2026

Short Answer: Click the Edit icon on the uploaded file card to open the Configure modal, update the mappings, then click Save & apply.

PreRequisites

  1. A file is already uploaded and visible on its card (either Bank statement or Books).

Steps

  1. Locate the uploaded file card (Bank statement or Books) that displays the filename and an Edit icon.
The uploaded file card is visible with the Edit option.

  2. Click the Edit icon to open the appropriate configuration modal:

    • Configure bank statement

    • Configure books data

The Configure modal opens showing Data preview (first 20 rows).

  3. Adjust the column mappings as needed. For example:

    • Transaction date

    • Date format

    • Description / Narration

    • Amount column or amount representation
The updated mapping selections appear in the modal.

  4. Click Save & apply to confirm the changes and close the modal.

The updated mappings are saved and applied for the reconciliation process.

Troubleshooting

  1. Changes disappear after closing the modal.

Likely Cause: The modal was closed without clicking "Save & apply".

Action: Reopen Edit, update the mappings again, and click Save & apply to save them.

Note: If you need to use a different file instead of modifying mappings, upload the new file to the same panel and configure it again.
