How do I open the details for a single bank transaction (matched, unmatched or skipped)?

Short Answer: Find the transaction row in the Matched, Unmatched, or Skipped tables and click the row or the right-chevron (>) to open the details modal.

Answer

PreRequisites

  1. You are on the reconciliation report page.

  2. The relevant tab (Matched, Unmatched, or Skipped) is selected.

Steps

  1. Select the appropriate tab: Matched, Unmatched, or Skipped.
The table for the selected tab is displayed.

  2. Locate the transaction row you want to inspect.
Click the row or the right-chevron (>) on that row.

  3. A details modal opens showing the transaction information.

  4. For matched transactions, view the 'Matched transaction details' modal:
    • Shows both Bank transactions and Book transactions
    • Displays the Match basis
    • Allows side-by-side comparison

  5. For unmatched or skipped transactions, view the respective modal:
    • Shows Transaction ID, Date, and Description
    • Displays any issue details (for skipped records)

Troubleshooting

  1. Clicking a row does not open details.

    Likely Cause:

    • Temporary UI issue.
    • The row is part of a collapsed group.

    Action:

    • Expand the grouped rows (if applicable).
    • Refresh the page and try clicking the row again.

Note: The modal title indicates the type—'Matched transaction details' for matched items and 'Unmatched transaction details' for unmatched ones.
