How do I find unmatched transactions (present in 26AS but not in Books, or vice versa)?

Short Answer: Switch to the "Unmatched" tab to see "Unmatched – 26AS" and "Unmatched – Books" sections; expand a party to view its transactions and open the detail modal for totals.

PreRequisites

  1. Report detail page is open.

Steps

  1. On the report page click the "Unmatched" toggle next to "Matched".
The page displays "Unmatched – 26AS" and "Unmatched – Books" sections.

  2. In "Unmatched – 26AS" expand a party (e.g., "HDFC Bank") by clicking the arrow.
You see the party's 26AS period rows and amounts (dates and amounts per row).

  3. Click a row or the period arrow to open the unmatched details modal for that party.
Modal shows '26AS transactions', 'Books transactions' (may show 'No book entries found') and totals.

  4. If you find missing book entries, correct or reimport your books data and run reconciliation again.
    After re-run, unmatched counts update.

Troubleshooting

  1. Modal shows 'No book entries found' for a party that should have books records.
LikelyCause: Party names or identifiers differ between 26AS and your books upload, or the books data wasn't imported.
Action: Verify your books upload and party/identifier matching, update records if needed, then rerun reconciliation.

Note: Unmatched sections show how many transactions are present only in 26AS or only in Books (counts shown on the summary cards).
