What do the ‘Total’, ‘Matched’, ‘Unmatched’, and ‘Skipped’ summary boxes show?

Last updated on Apr 23, 2026

Short Answer: Each box shows amounts and transaction counts for Customer and Books, along with a Difference value for that category.

PreRequisites

  1. Be signed in to CleverBalance

  2. Be on the Customer reconciliation report page

Steps

  1. Locate the summary boxes.
At the top of the report, find Total, Matched, Unmatched, and Skipped.

  2. Read amounts and counts.
    Each box displays:

    • Customer amount + transaction count

    • Books amount + transaction count

  3. Check the Difference.
The Difference value shows the gap between Customer and Books for that category.

Troubleshooting

  1. Summary values look incorrect
Likely Cause: Outdated reconciliation or active filters affecting view
Action: Re-run reconciliation and verify you’re viewing the correct data/tab

Note: Each box represents a different stage of reconciliation, and the Difference helps quickly identify mismatches in that category.
