How do I set the header row so column names are recognized?

Short Answer: Set "2. Header row" to the row number that contains the column headings shown in the Data preview (example value: "5").

  2. You can identify which preview row shows the column names

Steps

  1. Look at the table under "Data preview (20 rows)" and find the row with column names.
    You can clearly identify the row that lists headers like "Line No", "Value Date", "Document Date", etc.

  2. Open the "2. Header row" dropdown and select the row number that corresponds to that header row (e.g., "5").
    Header labels are recognized and available to select in other mapping controls.

Troubleshooting

  1. Column names in other mapping dropdowns are missing or show values instead of headers.
    LikelyCause: Wrong header row selected.
    Action: Change the number in "2. Header row" to the correct row that contains headers and re-check the mapping controls.

Note: Header row should point to the exact row that contains titles, not to a data row.
