How do I choose which fields are used for 'Description / Narration'?

Short Answer: Open '4. Description / Narration' and select one or more columns (e.g., 'Description', 'Reference', 'Category') to build the narration text.

  1. Your file is loaded and visible in 'Data preview (20 rows)'

  2. You can identify which columns should be part of the narration

Steps

  1. Open the 'Configure credit card statement' modal.
    You see the '4. Description / Narration' control.

  2. Click inside the 'Description / Narration' field and select the columns you want.
    Selected fields appear as tags inside the control.

  3. Review the 'Formatted preview (first 5 rows)' to see how the selected fields combine.
    Preview shows the combined narration text.

  4. Adjust selections if needed (too long or missing info), then click 'Save & apply'.
    Description mapping is saved as configured.

Troubleshooting

  1. Narration is empty or shows incorrect values.
    LikelyCause: Wrong fields selected or incorrect header row.
    Action: Verify the header row, reselect the correct fields under 'Description / Narration', and check the preview again.

Note: You can select multiple fields to create a richer narration; they are combined in the order shown as tags.
