How do I select the transaction date column?

Short Answer: Use the '2. Transaction date' dropdown to pick the column that contains transaction dates (for example, 'Post Date').

PreRequisites

  1. File is visible in 'Data preview (20 rows)'

  2. You know which column contains transaction dates (e.g., Post Date, Trans Date)

Steps

  1. Open the 'Configure credit card statement' modal.
You can see '2. Transaction date' in the 'Required fields' panel.

  2. Click the 'Transaction date' dropdown and choose the correct column (e.g., 'Post Date').
The selected column becomes the source for transaction dates.

  3. Adjust '3. Date format' to match the format used in that column, then check 'Formatted preview (first 5 rows)'.
Dates display correctly based on your selection.

  4. Click 'Save & apply' to save the configuration.
The mapping includes the selected transaction date column.

Troubleshooting

  1. The expected date column does not appear in the dropdown.
LikelyCause: Header row is set incorrectly.
Action: Set the correct 'Header row' so column names are recognized, then re-open the dropdown.

Note: Common transaction date columns include 'Post Date' and 'Trans Date'—choose the one that best represents the transaction date in your file.
