How do I set the 'Header row' for my file?

Last updated on Apr 29, 2026

Short Answer: Set the 'Header row' dropdown to the row number that contains your column headers (shown under '1. Header row').

PreRequisites

  1. Statement file is loaded and visible in 'Data preview (20 rows)'

  2. You can identify the row that contains column names

Steps

  1. Open the 'Configure credit card statement' modal.
You see '1. Header row' in the 'Required fields' panel.

  2. Click the 'Header row' dropdown under '1. Header row'.
Dropdown shows available row numbers (e.g., 14).

  3. Select the row number that contains your column headers.
Column headers in 'Data preview (20 rows)' align with field labels.

  4. If columns are still misaligned, try a different row number and re-check the preview.
Preview updates to show correct column names.

Troubleshooting

  1. Column names appear as data values or columns look shifted.
LikelyCause: Header row is set to a data row instead of the header row.
Action: Change the 'Header row' to the correct row number where column names appear.
