How do I replace or edit the VAT / sales tax statement file?

Short Answer: Click 'Edit' in the 'VAT / sales tax statement' card, then select a new CSV, XLS, or XLSX file max 100MB to replace it.

PreRequisites

  1. Signed in to CleverBalance

  2. Replacement VAT statement file CSV, XLS, or XLSX ready

Steps

  1. Locate the 'VAT / sales tax statement' card on the New reconciliation page.
    The card shows the current VAT statement filename or upload area.

  2. Click 'Edit' at the top-right of that card.
    A file picker or edit dialog opens.

  3. Choose the replacement file in your OS file picker CSV/XLS/XLSX, <100MB and confirm.
    The VAT card shows the new filename replacing the previous one.

  4. Verify the VAT file appears correctly before running reconciliation.
    Correct filename is displayed and ready for mapping/reconciliation.

Troubleshooting

  1. Clicking 'Edit' does nothing.
    LikelyCause: Page didn't fully load, or the browser blocked scripts/actions.
    Action: Refresh the page, try disabling extensions, or use a different browser and try again.

  2. Replacement file doesn't appear after upload.
    LikelyCause: Upload failed or network interruption.
    Action: Re-upload the file and check your network connection; confirm the filename displays in the card.
