How do I map the Tax amount field?

Last updated on May 18, 2026

Short Answer: Select the column that contains the tax or gross amount from the 'Tax amount' dropdown example shown: 'Gross Amount GBP'.

PreRequisites

  1. The data preview shows a column with tax or gross amounts.

  2. 'Header row' is set so the tax column appears with a readable name.

Steps

  1. Locate the 'Tax amount' field in the 'Required fields' panel.
'Tax amount' control visible example selection: 'Gross Amount GBP'.

  2. Open the 'Tax amount' dropdown and choose the column that contains your tax amounts.
Selected tax column appears in the 'Tax amount' field.

  3. Verify sample rows in Data preview show tax values from the selected column.
Preview reflects the tax amounts mapped correctly.

Troubleshooting

  1. No appropriate tax column is available in the dropdown.
LikelyCause: Your file may not include a tax/gross column or header row is wrong.
Action: Check 'Header row' and the original file; add a tax column or meaningful header in the source file if needed.

  2. Mapped tax amounts look incorrect wrong currency or values.
LikelyCause: You selected the wrong column or the column contains combined values.
Action: Select the correct column in 'Tax amount' or clean up the source column to contain only tax values.

Note: The example shows 'Gross Amount GBP' selected. Ensure you map the column that the reconciliation process expects.
